Custom taxonomy multiselector not saving for back office / search

There is an issue with the custom taxonomy multiselector field: it save great on front-end side (when user is editing is profile), but not from the back office (when editing from Users) : the checkboxes are all unchecked even if some are checked on front-end side.

Though the right values are checked when on the “extended profile” tab.

This have the consequence of making the search on the profile field impossible – Buddyboss Global Search recognize the field but don’t see any value for it for example.
