Custom taxonomy link -> Oops! That page can’t be found.

I have created a custom post type ‘projects’ with some custom taxonomies. i.e a taxonomy ‘typology’. I’ve used the function get_the_term_list to display it on my cpt. No problem there, but when I click the link ‘mysite/typology/taxonomy’ or go to ‘mysite/typology’ I get Oops! That page can’t be found.

But my custom post type ‘projects’ that I have registered the taxonomy too has a working archive page. Have I forgotten something?
