    Hello,

I have a free classified ads site and I plan to publish posts to increase the traffic … according to Categories & Location like the ads …
Your MW Taxonomy offers many great features, add custom taxonomies, search by taxonomy in the front-end with a drop-down widget, taxonomy url, …

Category taxonomy : I have kept the existing one of WP, Category/Subcategory
Location taxonomy : I have added a new custom taxonomy Country/State, Post_Type = Post, Hierarchical = Yes, taxonomy url to appear in search engines = YES

Then, I have published one post after selecting Category/Sub-category & Country/Region.
I can see the Category in the URL but not the Location … I have checked in settings/permalinks but don’t see any new Tags named %location%, therefore I cannot add the Location in the permalinks …
    https://example/category/title
One more thing, in the front end, I cannot see the location but only the Category, Sub-category.

Please I would like to know if I could add the Location (at least Country) in the URL ?
If yes, how to do it ?
Moreover, I would like to know if I could see the Location on my articles ?

For information, I am a basic user of WP, I don’t know PHP and I can only paste codes in function.php file …

    Thank you & Best Regards,

    Chris

The Location taxonomy is not shown in the URL … however, I have just checked the code source of the page and we can see the Category-Subcategory & Location-Sublocation of my posts … that is Great !!

For information, my classified ads rewrite the url and we can see both category & location in the url … however, I don’t see the category & location, even the title of the ads in the code source of the page … I don’t use any SEO plugin and I might use it … I removed many plugins like SEO, Security, and many more because my site was very slow to load on mobile phone … low speed is bad for SEO and users … I would prefer light plugins like NW Taxonomy and find other alternatives regarding SEO …

First, I could publish posts with your MW Taxonomy plugin and improve a bit the traffic … there are meta tags plugins too, but I don’t know which one is good or not among the large nb. of plugins …

Anyway, I am beginner and all your advice and useful information are very welcome …

Thanks in advance for your help …

    Sorry about the late reply.

Are you talking about the URL to the post? It is set in Settings > Permalinks where you can chose to use Category or Location.

The URL to Location would be https://example/location/ where you would see a list of the posts tagged with location. Sometimes you have to go to Settings > Permalinks and click Save Changes twice for it to work.

Sorry about the reply above. Didn’t think it through. You can’t set the URL of post to location or country, only Category. Maybe you should use category instead of custom taxonomy.
