custom taxanomy page template.

  • Hi everyone
    I use woo themes, Scrollider theme and I’m trying to use the portfolio items custom taxanomy but anything I write in the portfolio item does not get displayed, only the attached images get displayed. I’ve asked on their support and they say that this is how it’s supposed to work and that if I need anything changed then I have to pay for third party assistance which I can’t afford so hopefully you good people can help me out.

    All I really want to do is get single-portfolio.php, which I think is the page template that it uses to be the same as template-pages.php or single.php and then it would display all the content. I tried simply taking a copy of single.php and renaming it to single-portfolio.php (overwrite old one) but for some reason this doesn’t work.

    Can anyone advise what I need to do to make the portfolio items use the default page template?

  • I’m sorry but as you are using a non-WPORG theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s developers – paid or otherwise. We only support themes downloaded from www.remarpro.com here.

    well they’re not willing to help so can someone here not give me general advice on how to change the template for a custom taxonomy?
