    Hi there,

I want my user to have the opportunity to share documents on their profile page. For sure, I can use the user blog feature but it’s could be confusing for what I need for them. I created a Custom Post Type let’s call it SharedDoc with its own fields and taxonomies.

So what I neeed is a way to let the user create a SharedDoc post, edit and publish it (as for his/her blog posts) but there are published in a custom tab called (Shared Docs) in a list (or table) format. Hope i’m clear enough.

Sure that there is more than one question here, but i think that if I could do it with Profilegrid this could be a Facebook killer app for my members.

    Thanks
    Bv99

More I think about it, i guess that it could be an addon for ProfileGrid, where :

    – all the ProfileGrid privacy is preserved
    – people can share whaterver they want, documents, url, youtube link, image, pdf in a table format with a title, an icon, (or thumbnail), a description and a link to download a file, or go to a webpage or a specific post…
    – a vote system to say what doc is the most interesting
    – the date, the author, some tags…

Unfortunately I don’t have enough skills in PHP to make it myself.
If someone has some advices to give on how to make it (with profileGrid & plugins combination) he’s welcome.

    Thank You

    Hello Bruno,

That is a great suggestion.?Such a feature is currently not in ProfileGrid. However, we have?moved your comments to?our user requested features list. You will see some action on this in the near future.
