I think I was finally able to pinpoint an issue that has been leaving me stumped for a while now, and now I’m wondering if you’re able to provide a possible fix —

The major components at play here (I assume) other than Autoptimize are:

    – Avada Theme
    – The Events Calendar Pro Plugin (aka Tribe Events)
    – Cloudflare
    – Varnish / Proxy Cache Purge Plugin

No matter the order, after I purge the theme cache, varnish cache and autoptimize cache, it looks like my custom stylesheets—which are only used on the Tribe single event pages—are not loading on the single event pages. Only after going into the edit screen of the single event page and manually hitting “update post/event” does the stylesheet then get loaded on the frontend by Autoptimize.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think this happens to all of the event pages after a full purge, just a random batch of them that require me to manually update the page in order for the custom stylesheet to be loaded via Autoptimize.

These custom stylesheets are located here:
    /wp-content/themes/Avada-Child-Theme/

    Any thoughts?

The only CSS Options I have enabled in Autoptimize settings are “Optimize CSS Code” and “Aggregate CSS-files”

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

what happens if you add themes/Avada-Child-Theme/ to the comma-separated CSS optimization exclusion list?

I’ll give that a shot this weekend. Unfortunately, it seems pretty random as to which event pages are affected following a cache-purge, so I’ll probably be able to tell you more definitively by Monday.

I really appreciate the help, man. Thanks so much!

Ahh, no luck. I found one fairly quickly this time around —

    Not loading /wp-content/themes/Avada-Child-Theme/style.css:

And for example purposes, here is one where the custom /style.css is loading:

Following up to say that I had to manually update that “not loading” page, unfortunately, so that our visitors could properly register. That’s obviously something that won’t make things easier to debug from your perspective when it comes to our production site. Sorry about that.

It might be worth noting, however, that adding /wp-content/themes/Avada-Child-Theme/ to the exclusion list seemed to actually make the problem more prevalent. I found the issue of missing custom stylesheet was occuring even *after* manually updating the event page while that file path was part of the exclusion list.

Sorry for all of the variability here. Win or lose in this situation, you have an amazing plugin and the level of support that you personally provide is truly unrivaled.

OK … can you uncheck the “minimize excluded CSS/ JS”-option as well. this way AO does not touch those custom stylesheets at all.
