I’m trying to figure out how to sort my products the same way Etsy does, which is sorting by most recent where “most recent” is a combination of the most recently added products, as well as most recently sold. In other words, if I added 5 new products A, B, C, D, and E – but sold an existing product X while adding them, then the front page would look something like:

    E – D – X – C – B – A

Is there a way to do this in woocommerce?

    Thanks!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Depending on how many products you plan on having you could use Advance digits. Like for instance we have 100 products and ten categories.

For each category I have everything like 1100, 2200, 3300 and so on.

In the advance tab below variation on a variable product and under attribute on a simple product you’ll see Menu Order. You can give your products numbers to sort them that way. So no matter when you upload them they stay in order.

Great when you add something later and want to put it right after 3300 you would put 3310

Sounds like you’ll want to use the “Sorting” tab under Products > All Products:

Using that tab, you can drag-and-drop the products into an order for you choosing.

You’ll also want to make sure that the “Sort Order” is set to “Default Sorting” under Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product Catalog:
