Custom Sort Order Not Working

@nathan Gelston – Usually if you clear the image cache under Gallery > Other Options > Miscellaneous you will get this issue resolved … sometimes you need to re-open the IGW inserted gallery and re-save it.

I would try those steps to see if you can get this working as expected.

@photocrati – Sorry, I should have mentioned, I did some searching for answers before creating this post and have already tried the things you mentioned – no luck!

@nathan Gelston – Are you using the IGW (“green button”) to insert the galleries or are you using a shortcode?

If you used the IGW, check under the Sort / Exclude panel to ensure the sort order is being used there as well.

@photocrati thanks, all fixed now – I had to delete the existing galleries from the page, then re-insert them with the IGW – for some reason the old galleries were using the following: <img class="thickbox" but when I reinserted them with the custom sort order they updated to <img class="ngg_displayed_gallery mceItem". This seems to have fixed the problem! Thanks again!

@nathan Gelston – Yes, the “class” parts of the <img> placeholder are important for NextGEN Gallery to recognize what needs to be processed so the galley can be displayed correctly.
