Any change this plugin will be compatible with WPML ? The plugin mostly works fine with WPML with the exception of categories assignment. If I attach a sidebar to a certain category the sidebar will be correctly displayed for that particular category, but when I switch languages it won’t work anymore. And most likely the same goes for custom post types categories(taxonomies).

    Hi there @goldenworks,

Hope your well today and thanks for your question.

I’ve discussed this with the lead developer and while it doesn’t currently work with WPML 100%, this is something that we’ll be looking at for a future version.

    Thanks!

    Kind Regards
    Jack.

    Hello Jack,

Thanks for the answer. Good to know that it will be available in the future.

    Thanks!

I too have also run into this issue with a WPML site and Custom Sidebars.

Though the individual Custom Sidebars all work and are translated fine — seemingly because that’s just regular old WordPress stuff — the big problem is that for the Category/Archive pages, the “Defualt Sidebar” assignments are lost when switching to another language, and those category/archive pages just show the main base sidebar — no Custom Sidebar replacement takes place.

This really seems to be the only issue with WPML that I can see, so it’d be great if it could be fixed.

If there’s some sort of functions.php work-around in the meantime, that’d be great too.

    Thanks,
    Michael
