Custom Sidebars and Categories

  • Has anyone used Custom Sidebars by wpemudev for Categories?

    I am having the hardest times to get the custom sidebars to appear on the right side for a listing page filtered on category.

    So, what I have done is this.

    1. I updated my menu with my posts such that they are filtered on a category.
    2. I go to my widgets and create a custom sidebar.
    3. I click on “Sidebar Location” for that widget to set the sidebar to appear with that category.
    4. I go to the page and there is no custom sidebar?!?

    I thought the theme was the issue and instead of fruitful, I used the twenty fifteen that comes with the version 4 series. Still that did not show it.

    Bug in the Custom Sidebars plugin? Has anyone gotten this to work?
