First I love this plugin and use it tons… but finally found my first challenge.

I am using the News child theme. And converting an existing blog to it.

What I need to do is have a specific sidebar for homepage and other pages, and another custom sidebar for the posts. If I use the default, of course the homepage and post pages are the same. I thought if I assigned the custom sidebar to all the categories, then any single post with that category would show it. But it appears to just work on category archive pages? And not single posts assigned to that category?

I am guessing there is no way around this, but thought I would ask.

Correct on all points. Because you can assign multiple tags/categories to each post & you can assign a different sidebar to each tag & category, SS does not have any way of determining which category or tag sidebar setting to apply to the single post.

Yeah, I kind of thought that was the case.

Still love the plugin… and thanks!
