I have already submitted a message to the plugin developers. They must be busy to reply. Don’t worry someone will reply soon.

    Kind regards

I have added a new filter for this which will go out with the next release of the plugin.

In the meantime there is no reason for you not to be able to overwrite that image directly in the plugin folder and use your customized image.

    1) Did you clear your browser cache to make sure the browser is not showing the old cached image?

    2) Did you make sure to overwrite the old image? (the name needs to be exactly the same including the image extension).

Yes I did. I tried this on multiple browsers and on different computers.

Yes. This is how I did this in the past.
I use to just replace the shopping_cart_icon.png in the image folder and it would work.
    It doesn’t work any more.
If I delete the images folder or rename it in the plugin folder on the server those images still show up.
No cache plugin installed on server.

Can you give me the code to use for the filter?

    Thank you,

The following fact confirms that there is some kind of caching going on.

If I delete the images folder or rename it in the plugin folder on the server those images still show up.

So you can maybe ask your hosting provider where is that cached image coming from?

I have already added the filter to the plugin’s code but I won’t be able to release the plugin for a few more days as I have too much work on my plate right now due to the fact that WP4.6 will be released very soon (I have a lot of compatibility testing that I will need to do).

Once I release a new version of the plugin, i will be able to give you an example usage code.

    mra13,

Thank you for the reply. I am glad I pursued this as this update is a better way of serving these images than over-writing the images in the images folder after every plugin update.

I did get to the bottom of this however. My host made a mistake on my account, and in rectifying it, there ended up being 2 servers that held our website files.

Unaware of this, I was logging into the wrong server, and any changes made there were not reflected on the live website.

I would like to keep this open, until I receive the code from you, as this is a more reliable way for me to serve the images I prefer.

    Sorry for the go-around.

The new version has the filter that you can use to customize the cart image icon.

The following documentation has example code showing you how to use it:

    Hello,
I updated today and added the new filter.
    It works perfectly!
Thank you for all your hard work.
