Custom search engine within a site page

  • I am in the process of building a family website (only a coming soon page right now). I am also new to WordPress. I am looking for a custom search engine that will only return results for “things to do” when a location is inputted into the search box (honestly… basically just like Expedia’s things to do page). I have seen this done on other sites, and would love to have this function and benefit for my site visitors also! I have spent countless hours searching for answers and I believe the closet I’ve come is Googles custom search, but not sure it’s the right tool.
