    Hello,

I’m experiencing an issue where a custom user role created with Ultimate Member cannot access the WordPress dashboard, even though the “Block users in this role from accessing admin area.” option is disabled. Despite confirming the role settings and ensuring permissions are correctly configured, users with this role are still unable to access the dashboard.

I have also tried the following:

    • Checked role capabilities
    • Disabled potential conflicting plugins
    • Cleared cache

Could you please assist in resolving this issue?

    Thank you.

    Hello @katerinamo

Please read this article – Grant access to the admin dashboard to a custom role

Go to wp-admin > Ultimate Member > User Roles > Edit Role. Set these settings in the “Administrative Permissions” section:

    • Can access wp-admin – turn it on
    • Force hiding adminbar in frontend? – turn it off

Grant these capabilities in the “WP Capabilities” section: read, edit_posts.

Grant more capabilities to allow users with this role access specific dashboard pages. See Roles and Capabilities.

    Regards

    Hello,

On wp-admin > Ultimate Member > User Roles > Edit Role I’ve noticed that the current dashboard layout is different from what’s shown in the tutorial.

Could you please provide guidance or an updated tutorial that matches the current dashboard layout?

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Hello,

I wanted to let you know that I was mistaken and had gone to the wrong settings. I’ve now found the correct options and everything is working as expected.

Thank you for your time, and apologies for any confusion caused.

    Best regards
