On the SearchIQ homepage it lists a feature called “Custom Result Ranking” with an animated gif (image) showing drag and drop customizing search results ranking order.

    On the homepage it says:

    Custom Result Ranking
Show the result you want with simple to manage controls.

Then is shows this animated gif:

    Where is this functionality?

I’ve looked in the WordPress plugin & SearchIQ dashboard BUT can’t find this feature anywhere.

    Did you remove the functionality?

Is this functionality only offered in the paid account (which is fine)?

    I need to know.

One of my clients is planning on purchasing this plugin but I need to know if this functionality exists. They need granular control of the search results (it’s a big issue).

    Thanks so much!

    Hi Rob,

Custom result ranking is a ranking feature and we don’t have drag and drop functionality to control the result ordering. The option is available on SearchIQ dashboard under ‘Documents’ tab.

Custom result ranking allows you to give more weights to the fields you want to boost and set the matching precision. The animated gif is referring to the change in search result position on changing the field weight. Can you please tell what kind of granular control your client is looking for?

    Thanks for the reply.

    Ok, gotcha.

    1) I feel a little disappointed to hear this… and…

    2) The way it’s setup will actually help us get more ‘dialed in’ on our SEO. So it’s all good.

We’re just looking for granular control on our key searches (on our site) to get our users quickly to the content they are looking for.

    Thank you.

Btw – so far, we’re really happy with SearchIQ and looking forward to getting it all dialed in.
