Custom required fields not being validated

this is the code I use for setting up the validation function:

add_action('woocommerce_checkout_process', 'woo_custom_checkout_validate_field_process');
 
function woo_custom_checkout_validate_field_process() 
{
    error_log("******* woocommerce_checkout_process hook called ***********");
    ....
    // add failed validation messages
}

Thank you for reaching out to us, we are here to help.

The hook?woocommerce_checkout_process?is called only after creating the PayPal order, so it would not be considered when clicking the PayPal button.
Instead, you could try it with the hook?woocommerce_after_checkout_validation?because?validate_checkout?is called before opening the popup window when using the?early WC validation.

Please try this and let us know if it helped you resolve this issue.
