Custom Posts Not Publishing Correctly

I am running a cron job. Normally this works perfectly but if I try to generate the posts under a Custom Post Type the results do appear on the edit screen but for some reason they aren’t selectable, you can’t edit them and although it says they are “published” they are not in any way viewable.
I don’t know where the root of the problem lies or what the problem really is. It only occurs if trying to publish under a Custom Post Type whereas publishing normal posts works perfectly but that slightly defies the point.
I am running WordPress offline, I don’t know if that would make a difference?
If someone knows of any reason why I am experiencing this problem I would appreciate their help!
