Custom Posts Feature Request

Yes, there are plans on adding CPT/Category selections for menu items (similar to the native WP menu selections).

What’s not currently planned is full custom hierarchical post type support –?as in, fully replacing the post-edit screens like the page type.

I’d love to see support for other hierarchical CPT.

awesome, I just want clients to able to add a new custom post, say ‘staff’ or similar and then once published it synchronizes with the WP menu.

+1 for being able to define by register_post_type (or select in the settings screens of the plugin) to have the nested UI apply to other CPTs.

I’d contribute some time towards that as well if it is of interest.

With version 1.3.0, just released, the nested view is now available for all CPTs. Visit Settings > Nested Pages > Post Types to enable on a per-post-type basis (the menu is still generated from the “Page” post type.

If you don’t want it to take over the post type’s list view, uncheck “replace menu” for that post type, and an additional submenu item will be added which links to the “nested view” for hierarchical types, or “sort view” for standard non-hierarchical types.
