    Apologies to your wife.

    Right now we have

    posts – on (show author footnote/author box by default with checkbox on individual posts to hide the author info)
    pages – settable as on or off (checkbox on individual posts to reverse the default setting)
    other custom post type = off (hide author footnote/author box by default with checkbox on individual custom posts to show the author info – this means the check has to be done everywhere manually)

    I am just adding the setting to the next release of AuthorSure to specify the default behaviour for each post_type. This means you wife will be able to set all ‘portfolio’ posts as showing the author info. It should be ready some time tomorrow
