Also, I tried disabling all other plugins to be sure that it wasn’t a conflict. This did not seem to help.

How are the custom post types included on your site? If they are not included using a plugin, presumably they have been included using custom code in your theme. if this is the case then check your code as you may have an issue.

This functionality works fine in the latest version. Provided you have checked the boxes next to your custom post types under All in One SEO, General Settings, Custom Post Type Settings. Given that we know this works fine, no code was changed recently that would affect this and nobody else has reported this issue then it’s most likely an issue with the code on your site.

I just updated to the most recent version of WordPress, swapped my theme to TwentySixteen and disabled all plugins but AIOSEOP. I added code in the functions file for a custom post type and also used a plugin to add a separate custom post type, both of which I enabled SEO for in the settings.
Still, I only see the SEO data in the columns but not on the post edit page.
I am using WP Engine for my host.
I’m not sure what else could be the problem.

The issue with your site was because you had not activated SEO for custom post types under All in One SEO, General Settings, Custom Post Type Settings. If you want to use All in One SEO with custom post types then you have to activate this setting and check the boxes next to the post types you want to manage SEO for.
