Custom Post types conversion?

  • I am moving a website from Elegant Themes MyCuisine to the Lezatos theme from ThemeForest. They both use a custom Menu post type with categories for menu items. When I switch to the new theme, all of the menu posts are now just regular posts, but they have retained their category settings. Is there any way I can convert those posts and their categories to menu items and categories in the new theme?

  • I’m sorry but as you appear to be using commercial themes, you need to seek support from the themes’ developers/vendors. We do not have access to, nor do we support, commercial products here.

    My mistake. MyCuisine doesn’t use a custom post type. SO the question is can I convert selected posts to the custom post type in the new theme using the backend or the database?
