    Hello,

Just wondering what the best approach is for ensuring custom post types remain compatible with AMP when using either ACF or Pods? And what are some of the potential pitfalls of using custom post types + AMP?

  • Good question. While using ACF of Pods the best method to ensure your current setup is compatible with AMP is testing your configuration by making use of the AMP preview tool feature or checking the AMP version of your content while in reader or transitional mode.

what are some of the potential pitfalls of using custom post types + AMP?

As with regular posts the same rules apply. If you’re making use of custom functions ensure they don’t result in any validation errors. We use a variety of custom post types amp-wp.org.

Thanks! We run in Standard Mode, so any problems will be noticed pretty quickly. Just wary of custom post layouts with specific params not playing nicely. Will have to just run on a staging environment first to be sure ??
