Custom post types?

I use this theme: https://themeforest.net/item/aware-responsive-wordpress-portfolio-theme/1049029
And SEO works fine with all but the custom post type called “Portfolio”, it simply won’t leave out the /portfolio/ part of the URL. Is there anything I can do from this plugin to fix that, in .htaccess or whatever, or do I have to edit the functions.php part of the theme in question?
When I view certain “skills” (custom post type set) I get /sort/[skill typ] in the URL. Is there a way to get rid of that too?
