If the custom post type is not registered for Subscribe2 then no post is generated, without a little code Subscribe2 won’t be watching those post publications.

Of course the other solution for those of a more nervous disposition is to deactivate Subscribe2 at the time of publication and then reactivate after again. That would stop any per-post email notifications sending.

If I do have a nervous disposition (and some might say I do ?? ), then I will be worried that deactivating Subscrbe2 will lose my settings.

?? Deactivating won’t lose any settings, that happens only when uninstalling via the WordPresss plugin menu.

Custom Taxonomy – When sending out Email notifications using the {CATS} and {TAGS} elements in the email template, nothing is picked up even though thy are now be pulled in elsewhere in the plugin?

Please can you open your own thread and give me some more information if you want some help getting this to work on your site. The code that creates and also the code that registers the custom post and taxonomy types would be a good start.
