    EDIT: Well yeah, that was the problem. I added and now works perfectly. Thanks for help!

    Well, I was asking because that particular template will override any default functionality you may have on your homepage. So, if that template is present, it could prevent the plugin from doing what you would expect. However, it is also a viable option for customizing your homepage, so if what you have now does the trick, then great.
