Custom post type not being formatted properly in index loop

    I’ve made a custom post type ‘Quotes’ using the Custom Post Type UI plugin, then followed with content-quote.php and single-quote.php templates to format them. The single template works fine, but the content template isn’t being pulled when quotes in this custom post type appear in my index loop. So when the quote content appears it is unformatted. My theme is still pretty unfinished, but you can see what I mean.

    But index loop doesn’t use the content-quote.php template: https://www.terraavocado.com

    Is there a trick to this I’m not getting?
