Custom Post Type Link Issue

Hello we are having intermittent issues with the toolset custom post item “recipes” on our website. The link on our site sometimes works and points to the recipes and other times it switches to the news posts on our site showing those instead of the recipes even though the link clearly states recipes. Anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this problem? We have removed the recipe link from appearing in the menu on our site until we can get this situation resolved. Thank you for any assistance anyone can provide in resolving this issue that has just happened today.
