Custom Post Type By Author

I have created a custom post type to display image galleries and there will be multiple galleries created by multiple authors.

Is it possible to list all posts (custom and regular) by an author when clicking on their name similar to using the_author_posts_link()?

I can do this with post tags but am not sure how to do it with the author.
