    Hello,

I have created a post type with a slug case-studies. I have selected for it to not have archive page.

My question is, would it be now possible to have a page with a slug case-studies, where i would display the posts of that type or could this create issues for the custom posts with that slug?

Am I better off just having a different slug for the page I want to display these posts on?

    Thanks
    Celina

    Hi @youandus ,

If you set the post type doesn’t have an archive page, then WordPress don’t serve the URL yourdomain.com/case-studies/ as an archive page of your post type. Instead, WordPress will serve the page you created with that slug /case-studies/. That means when you visit /case-studies/, you’ll see the page, instead of list of posts.

When you set the post type has an archive page, then the URL /case-studies/ will be an archive page and show list of posts, even if you already created a page with that slug.

In case you don’t want to mess them up, you can set the archive page with a different slug. The plugin has an option for you to do so.
