Custom Post Tags & Advanced Search

Hello all,

Is it possible with WordPress to implement custom post tags and build an advanced search plugin that searches the database (huge database of information) based on these tags?

For example, there will be different types of entries, lets use an ”image entry” as an example.

Is it possible to assign custom tags to ”image entries”, like:

Photographer: [name]
Date taken: [mm/dd/yyyy]
Location: [city, country]
Title: [photo title]
Post type: [image]

And have an advanced search form where users can look for images based on one or a combination of the above ”tags”?

(And there will be different tags for different post types, like videos, infographics, etc. and less-obvious tags, like ”Front” for conflicts, ”Party” for political parties, etc.)
