Custom Post Link Colours

Currently in pre-stages of creating a new wordpress site…

Any links on the website that relate to events are one colour (including widgets), is the a way to do the same with wordpress posts?

What I intend to have is..

Different colour links to… posts, events (done), bbPress/BuddyPress (I’ve done the forum but stuck on buddypress).

Any help would be great.
