    I have been following the Grow Beyond Posts & Pages: Introduction to the Pods Framework video and where he adds a custom field to the template it is automatically recognized and completed (see https://youtu.be/Df9uvxp0160?t=1447). However, when I do the same after picking the appropriate POD reference my custom fields are displayed below but NOT automatically recognized when put into the template nor is autocomplete text of such working and further more they do not display the contents on the post when previewed.

    Note -I am using an Avada Theme with WordPress.

    Any help in letting me know how to display POD custom field content would be very much appreciated.

    I don’t have Avada, so I can’t test that.
    In testing, the Template page is auto-completing field names in a fresh install with the default theme.
    Template output also worked —?I output the template with a shortcode like this: [pods template="test"]

    I do not understand what I should replace. The video explained to out put the field’s as per below:

    State: {#state}

    District: {#district}

    Party: {#party}

    I have no idea what you mean by “output the template with a shortcode like this: [pods template=”test”]”

    Could you be more specific and use my fields above in your example? My 3 PODS are named members-candidates, locations and designations.

    Or is there a way to give you access to private message you and provide access to my admin section? So that you can see what I have done and possibly why it is not working.

    You should be using magic tag formatting like this: {@state}

    Note that the “@” sign like in email addresses is used here and not the “#” sign.

    See here for more details about how magic tags work: https://docs.pods.io/displaying-pods/magic-tags/using-magic-tags/

    This worked! THANKS SO MUCH!

    I am an idiot for some reason I was sure the 2 videos 2017 & 2019 titled “Grow Beyond Posts & Pages: Introduction to the Pods Framework.” show examples using the the “#” sign. However, now when I look closer I see they use the “@”. Sorry for wasting your time! I will buy better stronger glasses… lol…
