Hi there, I just updated the plugin to the latest v2.0.5 and there appears to be a glitch with displaying the Custom PIN icon.

The Custom PIN displays during preview: https://prnt.sc/q7y5v9 – But once I click to Save, the custom PIN image doesn’t show: https://prnt.sc/q7y63q

I tried this on 2 different themes and same issues. Let me know when you get a chance. Thanks for sharing your work!

    Hi,

    Thx for using this plugin.
I’ve tested your issue, and had no problem on my theme. I didn’t update from the previous version though like you did.
Try clearing your cache please on the wordpress admin, also on the browser.

Please let me know if the bug still persists.

    Thx for reaching out.
    Regards

    Thanks for the quick response!

I just cleared my browser cache and WordPress Admin Cache using WP Super Cache plugin and the Custom icon URL issue remains. I even tried it on a 3rd theme but same issues.

Also, when selecting the Simple option for the Pin info, is there a way to have line breaks? https://prnt.sc/q7z7gn AND https://prnt.sc/q7z7ow – For example I want the street address on the first line and the city & state & zip breaks to display on the second line.

And if I select the Advanced tab for the Pin info, it allows me to have line breaks but noticed the popup box displays so large with a lot of blank white space inside the box: https://prnt.sc/q7z7w8 – And the PIN name doesn’t display at the top either. Let me know. Thanks!

    Hey,

1.The issue with the url link for the pin I cannot replicate on two website. Please have a look at the browser’s console, for any messages.

2.It’s a bug in the simple infobox, enter key should create a new line, therefore you could have your address on multiple lines, will fix that today or tomorrow.

3.The Advanced Infobox is independent from Simple infobox, you need to have put the title at the top (doesn’t take it from simple infobox). The sizes can be changed in the Setting’s page according to every device desktop/tablet/mobile. You put your own sizes.

    Thanks for reporting those issues.
Can I ask you how do you find the resize map feature, or show infobox on hover ?

    Regards

    1) Did you test the issues with the latest v2.0.6? Here’s the console error message when I use the Custom Icon URL: https://prnt.sc/q82gql

    2) Simple info box is all good now, Thanks for fixing it.

    3) Finding Resize Map Feature – First I click on: https://prnt.sc/q82ix0 – Then I click on: https://prnt.sc/q82jjf – Then I see the option screen to resize the map: https://prnt.sc/q82jy5

    4) Show info box on hover – I simply click to turn On the Show Info box on hover: https://prnt.sc/q82kna and when I hover the Map Marker, the box info box pops up.

If you’re not able to fix the Custom Icon URL issue, then that’s fine, I’ll just use the default PINs. Some clients prefer to show their logo for the Map Marker, but it’s not a deal breaker. Thanks!

    Hi again,

On issue number 3 I was saying how to change Advanced Infobox sizes, which is in The Settings Page, not under the Map Settings page.
(you specified the advanced infobox is too big, and can width and height can be changed)

Back to your icon url issue. The problem is in the url, and mysql. Your mysql is saving url’s in lowecase letters. Have a look online how to change your database.

So, to fix the url issue change your icon name from Map_Marker.png to map_marker.png and re-upload it. I’ve tested in my website and it works, if you change the url to lowercase letters.

If you have any other queries please let me know.

    Regards.

I understood what you meant about the Advanced Inbox size. Since you fixed the line breaks on the Simple Infobox, I didn’t need to use the Advanced feature.

I changed the file name to Lowercase letters and the Custom Icon URL works perfectly now. Excellent customer support. Thanks again!
