Custom Phone Validation Frontend

  • I’ve added custom phone validation code in functions.php and it validates correctly once the form is submitted, but is there a way to display an error message after the field is filled out and before the form is submitted?

    It looks like other fields are validating once the field is entered. Do I have to add this as Jquery too?

    I see that Contact Form 7 uses HTML5 validation. Is there a way to add “pattern” to the shortcode field?
