• Hi,

i’m trying to find out if there is a method or plugin that would allow us to create a custom permalink where the name of the website is not involved at all.

For example, if we were to use a ‘post name’ at the moment, all permalinks have to start with something like:
    https://www.mywebsitename.com/mypagename

Whereas we want this to be:
    /mypagename

Any help or directions would be appreciated.

You….. want your site not to display your site name?

    How would that work?

    Hello Jon,

Its more that we’re looking for a way to create the opposite of an absolute link (if thats what its called). So we’re looking to see if its possible for our permalinks to not be prefixed with https://www.mywebsitename.com/

Dont hate me for saying this, but in a way similar to how you would build a HTML site.

    I see what you’re saying.

    But it’s not possible.

All the urls are saved in the database.

What is the point of this though?
