• Hi,
I don’t know is this the place for my question, but .. ??

[ Moderator note: moved to Fixing WordPress. Please do not use Developing With WordPress for these topics. ]

I have a news site with thousands posts. My custom permalinks structure is /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/ and I want to change all post links – for old and new posts.
What will going on if I change them to /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/%post-id% (just adding numbers in the end)? Will this break all my permalinks?

    Thank you!

It should not. The old URLs should still work. Test a few old URLs on your site to be sure. This is not always the case. It works here because you are adding a redundant term to the old permalink structure.

Consider what impact new permalinks might have on any search engine page rank your pages may have built up.

    Thanks for fast answer!
How to test just few old links? The idea is to change all links from WP admin-> Settings-> Permalinks.
