• I use a custom file structure for my WP installs. This means that my login page and dashboard URLs have a different root path to the public side.

Eg. Public site is at www.mysite.com/... but the login and dashboard URLs reside at www.mysite.com/custom-path/...

As mentioned on the plugin FAQ page under I found a bug, using a custom login path “this is incompatible with a couple plugins out there, specifically ones that change the default login url“.

I’m not using a plugin to do this, but I get that my setup would likely still break UnderConstruction from working.

UnderConstruction still kind of works on my site, but I can’t log back in once having logged out. The login page and admin paths all show the UnderConstruction page.

Was this always the case? I seem to recall running WP sites with custom login paths in the past, and using this plugin still worked, with the login page still being available.

I’ve used this plugin I believe for coming up to 10 years on dozens of commercial sites. This issue, and the issue of html tags being stripped out, seems likely to end my reliance on this plugin.
