custom page.php templates: is it possible to detect title?

Hi,

This is a question for the wp php gurus:

Let’s say you write a page, and select a custom page template to display the page. (Something other than page.php)

Could a plugin be made, that can detect when a page has been made that uses that particular page template? For the sake of simplicity, let’s just say the plugin’s admin page merely makes a dynamic list of all pages that were written with that template being chosen.

I hope you understand what I’m asking.
So, is it possible?
