• I’ve installed the core AppPresser plugin and am creating a custom theme based on our designs. The question I have is how do I set up Custom Page templates?

Since the theme is not active, the choice isn’t available for the custom page templates. What is the best way around it?

    Thank you.

Hi Aaron. That is a very good, valid question. Sadly we don’t have a solution for this at the moment but are putting it as a feature request and something we should really find a solution for, in all honesty.

Thanks for pointing this issue out.

As a temporary alternative or something that may prove to be enough, there is always the Template hierarchy

Thank you, Michael. I’ve set up custom post-types and it has seemed to work like a charm. It is a little less organized than I’d like but works and is easy to work around.

Had it pointed out to me that if you’re using a child theme, then creating the custom template in the child theme should act just as expected. Not sure why I didn’t think of this originally.
