Custom page template not working

I have uploaded a php file to the customizr child theme folder and cannot figure out where it shows up in the admin interface. I have copied the custom-page.php file and inserted what I need into the file to make it what I need in a page template, but I thought it would show up on the sidebar of the backend of the page. Does it show up here or am I just misunderstanding where it will be?
