“Custom Page Template” doesn’t work

  • Hello all,

    I cannot choose the custom templates for pages since a week ago. It is quite strange since the display box doesnt appear anymore.

    When I “add new” page, then on the left sidebar I have “Attributes” and there only two items are appearing, “Parent” and “Order” but not anymore the “Template” one.

    I have looking for other solutions but any of them seem to work.

    I havent changed the theme of my site and I have tried to deactivate all the plugins just in case but no way….

    Do you have any idea??

  • I’ve never used them before, but the part that lets you set that says:

    “Some themes have custom templates you can use for certain pages that might have additional features or custom layouts. If so, you’ll see them above.”

    Are you using the same theme as before? If not it sounds like your theme doesnt support custom templates.

    As I have said, I am using the same theme and I have used custom templates. In fact, the pages that I defined with a custom template are still displaying correctly but I cannot assign custom templates to any new page anymore.

    Any idea?

    Try to re-assign the theme, meaning change your current theme and activate the default WP theme, and then change and activate your current theme again.

    That should fix your problem.
