Custom Page Template

    Can a custom page template file be used to automatically select a page to open? Here is the scenario, when you click on a menu item for a page which I will call PAGE1, I would like it to open one of 2 different pages instead, One for PC’s and a different one for MOBILE DEVICES.

    Is this possible? If so how. I have never written a template. I did look in the codex area but left me confused.
