custom page posts

  • Hi

    I’m starting to create my first wordpress theme. I’ve created a new page called ‘mywork’ and I’ve created and attached its own template which is works fine.

    Mywork will be an archive of all the work ive done – each post giving a link to a seperate page with more info.

    I’m struggling to find out how do I post in that page? I want to run a loop so that only posts that ive posted in that page will be displayed. if that makes sense?

  • If I understand your question correctly, you also need to create a Custom Post Type called “mywork”.

    This is the documentation for creating a Custom Post Type.

    There is also a plugin you can use that also creates custom post types. You can download it here.
