Custom Order not Saving

  • Hi – I have a 3 tiered custom taxonomy and for one parent term, it just will not save the custom order. I read a couple of other posts on this and see it is somewhat resolved with version 3.4.4, which I have installed. I’m wondering if I can provide you with additional detail. The interesting thing is that it’s working with all other parent terms in this taxonomy. It’s just one in particular that just doesn’t seem to want to save.

    Hi,
    I suppose you mean sorting the sub-terms, right?
    When you change the order, like, put the last one on top. Then hit “Save order”, does it tell you if terms were updated? If all terms have an order that was changed, it should update them all.

    This might be a bit of a rabbit hole, hope we can get an idea of what is happening ??

    If you check the database for wp_terms and wp_term_relationships for the fields term_order, are they the correct order compared to the terms before and after?

    Hi Marcel –

    I ended up deleting and recreating these particular terms. I’ll let you know if I run into any issues.
