    Hi everyone,

I’m using the Elementor Taxonomy Filter widget on my “Customer Stories” page. Currently, the category filters are listed in alphabetical order, which is the default behavior of WordPress Posts categories.

However, I’d like to customize this order and display the categories in a specific sequence that I choose. I’ve tried various approaches, but haven’t been successful.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to achieve a custom order for the WordPress Posts categories?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Since that is a commercial plugin, we ask that you please go to their official support channel, so you can get support from the people who know it best: https://elementor.com/support/

Forum volunteers do not have access to commercial products, so they would not know why it is not working correctly. Other community members who may have faced your issue might be able to help you, but your best bet is your product’s developer. We encourage you to use the official support venues, as it allows the developers to be aware of issues with their code and gives back to the community in a more robust way.

The issue does not lie in Taxonomy Filter widget. It is working well and displays categories but it relies on the existing category order set in WordPress.

I’m looking for alternative solutions within WordPress core functionality to achieve a custom category order without plugins or theme edits.
