Custom options disappear after cart update (issue with block based cart)

I am using free version of plugin and latest WooCommerce version which provides block based cart page. When I have added a product with custom field to the cart, its value appears on cart page. But once I change quantity or remove any item from the cart and the cart updates, custom option no longer appears in product info. If I refresh page, it appears again. Also I tried to change block based cart to classic shortcode cart – in that case custom option doesn’t dissapear, eventhough there is ajax update. So the problem doesn’t seem to be related to ajax update itself, more likely it’s not fully compatiable with new standart WooCommerce block based cart. Am I right and is there a way to fix this issue?

PS: forgot to mention: I am using Storefront with my own child theme, which doesn’t interfere with cart and checkout pages. Well, it does a little, but when I disable all my custom scripts it it doesn’t make any difference.
