Custom Meta for InventoryLoader Condition Field

    The ListingLoader profile template allowed custom meta for the Item Condition field, but ListingLoader does not have the Shipping Template field, so I had to switch to InventoryLoader. But now InventoryLoader doesn’t allow a custom value, it only has a drop-down to select Condition or –Leave Blank–. Leaving blank submits feeds with a blank condition field. Why can’t I add a custom meta shortcode with InventoryLoader?

    Nevermind, I figured it out.

    For this one, you have to go into Settings->Advanced and create a Custom Variation Meta for Meta Key amazon_condition_type. Then the option appears in the dropdown.

    Thanks for sharing your solution, that is a very good use case for that option to create custom variation meta fields – we might add it to our FAQs as it might not be that obvious at first.

    Just to be clear: were you trying to pull in the value from the “Item Condition” fields in the Amazon Options metabox, or were you trying to pull a value from your own custom meta fields?

    Because if this is about the built in “Item Condition” field provided by WP-Lister, then I suppose we should make its value somehow available in the profile editor. On the other hand, its value should be used when that field is simply left empty in the profile editor, or isn’t it?

    Correct, the “Item Condition” field in the Amazon Options metabox. It is not available to be selected in the InventoryLoader template, only in ListingLoader. Yes, that would be great if it was available in both.

    No, if it is selected to be left blank, it does not pull from Amazon Options, it submits a blank field and Amazon returns an error.
