• Hello,

we’d like to auto-share posts to Facebook with our own pre-defined messages. In the post editor in WP admin panel I enable FB autopost, replace “{POST_TITLE}” with my custom text and save the post. However, even though the change does persist in the database, after loading the editor page, FB autopost switch is back to “No”. Furthermore, the message is not shared onto our FB page. Instead, the pre-defined macro is used.

After some debugging I found that the metabox fails to render, because “get_option(‘xyz_smap_default_selection_edit’)==2” evaluates to false — the option (“Auto publish on editing posts/pages/custom post types”) is “0”.

This happens when editing planned (future) posts.

    Thanks.

Nevermind, “Auto publish on editing posts/pages/custom post types” set to 2 (Use values set on post creation/update) behaves as expected. You can consider this solved.
