Custom Menu
-
For whatever reason one of the most basic things imaginable to do in WordPress is stupid hard (I consider having to write any code to be kind of asinine quite frankly).
Does anyone either know of very simple CSS code I can copy to the custom css area of wordpress OR of a specific plugin that will actually make the menu fill the space properly?
I don’t care if it’s justified, centered, or whatever.. I just don’t want to have to attempt to format my menu by way of creative menu entries and character counts.
Look at https://www.truebluemarketview.com running Thesis. The top menu almost fills the space just due to the number of items & characters. The bottom menu most certainly does not. And what’s even more strange is the bottom menu almost looks right if you go to the blog link in the top menu. Every other area of the site the bottom menu looks the same.
All I want to do is very, very basic stuff like
-Make the first letter a capital.
-Specify the font
-Maybe make the font bold, or change the size
-Change the font color
-Make the menus actually fit the space they’re in and look right, and not lame. Why NONE of these things are built into WordPress just utterly blows me away. Even using a $200 premium theme (Thesis 2.0) does nothing to help any of these items really. =/
Anyway. If anyone can please help with this that’d be great.
Otherwise I’ll just have to save up some money and pay someone to fix the menus, which is just utterly ridiculous. This is probably the single biggest complaint I have about WordPress by far.
