Custom loops and upgrading question

    Hi,

    I hired someone to design my site, and it has custom a Loop (or Loops) in the index.

    If I upgrade, are the customizations likely to be affected? I have no idea what gets upgraded during an upgrade.

  • Someone has created a custom version updating just the files that have been touched by the new release here.

    There are some files in there that may cause you some pain, but the main index file, page.php, etc are not included in it, so you can look through it if you where given a list of the customized files.

    Either way – ALWAYS backup your site before upgrading.
